I´ve been thinking about it for a long time. Inspiration enough, stories enough … but … I didn´t get to it yet, or postponed. But here is a start. WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

It´s a bit weird to start the blog while we are closed until January. October 18 we closed the gates for guests, one day before my 60th birthday. So it´s been a month now, I am all relaxed and desocialised again (is that a good thing?). But at the same time it starts to itch again, being all alone on our Campscape. It also is nice to have other people around. Of course, I’m seeing my friends. I went to the ´feira de castanhas´for the first time with my good friend Liesbeth.

And we had the olive harvest, resulting in 190 liters of extra virgin Campscape olive oil. We close every year in October because of the autumn storms … when the estate and skies turn into a scene of Mordor. But the sun is out again. It feels strange to have no guests around to share our little paradise.

So today I started mowing and rearranging the camping spots. Fewer but bigger. I ordered some new promotion material with the new logo: cards, mugs and stickers. I also finished the Domescape and ordered street lanterns to improve the lightning around the sanitary building.

In short it starts itching again. And as it looks now … we might be opening on December 1.
