Excellent park, from the warm welcome from the owners, Vítor and Ronald, to the wonderful location overlooking Marvão Castle, the good and very clean plots, and the good bathing facilities. A place of extraordinary beauty, where nature and tranquility prevail, great for relaxing, and time seems to slow down. The owners make you feel at home. We left wanting to return. Well done, Vítor and Ronald.

Our experience at Ronald & Vitor’s camp site was incredibly relaxed and comfortable. The pitches are well spread apart, giving everyone some privacy, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained/clean. We came in the peak of summer, which was actually lovely thanks to the saltwater pool and the shade of the nearby eucalyptus trees. Most of the pitches also have some trees for shade. The location of the camp site also offers some nice options for little day trips by bike or foot to interesting nearby old towns. The whole atmosphere of the camp is calm and restorative, and most of all we loved meeting Vitor and Ronald (and all of their animals!), who made us feel very welcome.Posted on Google

It's a different kind of campsite, much more personal and welcoming, where you can see the dedication and care that the owners, Vitor and Ronald, put into every detail to make guests feel at home. They were always attentive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The saltwater pool, with its views of Marvão Castle and village, is beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings. Our stay was fantastic, thank you so much for everything. Warm regards, The Izquierdo Fernández Family ♡

Campscape Beira Marvao is not a commercial campsite. Two fantastic gentlemen welcome you along with a host of lovely animals! Many people describe it as feeling like coming home, especially after a long journey. You can find everything on the grounds: a beautiful camping spot, showers, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, and a cozy bar. The surrounding area is rich in impressive geological formations and traces of a rich history, from prehistory to the Romans and the Middle Ages. Together with unique bird species such as the impressive vultures, this is a very interesting place. It is located just a few kilometers from the Spanish border and Extremadura. Vitor and Ronald are two warm people who welcome you with much love. They therefore expect you to stay for at least two nights to get to know each other better and explore the surroundings. The area is well worth the effort, and most people drive past it too quickly. Take a look for yourself and enjoy the enchanting surroundings and the view of the impressive Marvao Castle!

We are not here to save the world. We mostly do things for ourselves: for convenience, comfort and beauty. No procedures, processes or projects. Go with the flow, guided by weather, flora and fauna. Neither left nor right. Simply self-interest. Uncompromising.
As it happens, that self-interest makes us quite sustainable. We keep our fixed costs low with solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. As a result, when there are no guests, we are energy self-sufficient. And if we generate more energy than we need, we might as well use it to heat the pool.
The saltwater pool fits into the picture too: fewer chemicals, no chlorine tablets, and electrolysis produces the chlorine we need from salt.
We use water consciously and no pesticides: everything is as natural as possible. We manage nature pragmatically: if you belong here and you are beautiful, you stay. If you are ugly or you die, you go. No manicured nature and no gravel pitches. Even waste gets a second life and is reused for landscaping the campsite.
For the real work, we rely on local craftsmen and the regular team of seasonal workers around Nuno, the former owner of the quinta. That is sustainability too: investing in the local community.
Economic, ecological, social, aesthetic and personal sustainability. Mainly because we live here and because what is beautiful is worth preserving — or recreating.
Everything for ourselves. But we are not saving the world. Just our little paradise.
So nice, we had to call it Extra twice!
Have a taste and buy some of our Extra Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 100% from our own olive grove. The olives are harvested in the second half of October by our local crew and cold pressed that same evening/night in the local press of Santo António das Areias. The result is a delicious soft, unfiltered, nutty super-tasty Extra Extra Virgin Olive Oil with an acidity of just 0,2 – 0,4% which can be used for pretty much anything you can think of. From cooking and baking to skincare. Available in 0,75, 2 and 5 liter containers at 20€ a liter (only for guests).
