When posting a review, I usually just say, "Yes, nice, tasty, beautiful place." In this case, that would be doing Vitor and Ronald a great disservice. We are two North Hollanders who usually go on holiday to an all-inclusive hotel in Egypt after a busy summer season. Sure, we have also been to Indonesia and Bali. And Italy. But traveling in a campervan? No, never before. Our parents drove the campervan to Portugal and parked it at a campsite there. We flew there. The campsite near Porto was a disappointment for me; all the campervans and caravans were packed very closely together! The neighbors were sitting outside just under 2 meters away. So I thought, if this is what it’s like for 11 days, I won't be very happy. I hope the Portugal experience will be better. Luckily, we had a campervan, so we left after 2 days. My mother-in-law had sent a link to a Campscape—not a campsite ;-)—and when we arrived there, it was indescribable. The welcome was exactly what I had imagined for traveling in a campervan. A hug, familiar, sweet. Basically everything I had dared to dream of about vacationing in a camper. What an experience: you're just sunbathing next to your camper, and suddenly two donkeys come walking up—no, they weren't Vitor and Ronald, but real donkeys, haha. And while cooking dinner in the evening, they came by to take another look. I'm really still impressed. So much fun! This place is quiet, with lots of space around us and a beautiful starry sky. The love, the clarity with a touch of sarcasm, the humor. How these two sweet men run Campscape. I will definitely take this experience with me for the rest of my life. Due to circumstances, we could only stay for two nights, which is really the minimum there! But I would have loved to stay longer. But who knows, maybe we will come back. Dear Vitor and Ronald, thank you for letting us get to know you. Forever in our hearts, along with your beautiful place! And all the fantastic, sweet animals that accompany you.

We loved our camping experience at Campscape Beirã-Marvão! It was an excellent way to get to know this area of the Alentejo better, with a perfect location for exploring the region and doing various activities nearby. From day one, Vítor and Ronald were extremely welcoming, friendly and very attentive, always available to give us suggestions on what to visit, do and see in the region. It was a very pleasant experience and we definitely recommend it! We hope to return soon! 😊

Fantastic place, very spacious and open pitches in picturesque surroundings. You do have to love peace and quiet. Minimum age 16 and minimum stay of 2 nights, so no whining children or crying babies. The hosts complete the picture perfectly. Coming home to a special spot.

Our experience at Ronald & Vitor’s camp site was incredibly relaxed and comfortable. The pitches are well spread apart, giving everyone some privacy, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained/clean. We came in the peak of summer, which was actually lovely thanks to the saltwater pool and the shade of the nearby eucalyptus trees. Most of the pitches also have some trees for shade. The location of the camp site also offers some nice options for little day trips by bike or foot to interesting nearby old towns. The whole atmosphere of the camp is calm and restorative, and most of all we loved meeting Vitor and Ronald (and all of their animals!), who made us feel very welcome.

You can find everything on the grounds: a beautiful camping spot, showers, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, and a cozy bar. The surrounding area is rich in impressive geological formations and traces of a rich history, from prehistory to the Romans and the Middle Ages. Together with unique bird species such as the impressive vultures, this is a very interesting place. It is located just a few kilometers from the Spanish border and Extremadura. Vitor and Ronald are two warm people who welcome you with much love. They therefore expect you to stay for at least two nights to get to know each other better and explore the surroundings. The area is well worth the effort, and most people drive past it too quickly. Take a look for yourself and enjoy the enchanting surroundings and the view of the impressive Marvao Castle!
