Welcome to Campscape Beira Marvao

Come, camp and relax in our amazingly beautiful, peaceful and friendly scenery. You are welcome to camp on our rural estate (olive grove) in the beautiful nature park Serra de Sao Mamede in the Alto Alentejo.
Enjoy the Sun, the Stars, the Silence and the Slow. The view on the (nightly lit) castle high up on the cliff. Explore Marvao, Castelo de Vide and the amazing landscape with hidden hamlets by foot, bicycle or car (please don’t go out driving with your motorhome). Escape tourism and the hectic of everyday life, relax and recharge in unspoiled nothingness (no coach needed).

Small scale -feel at home- camping for happy campers.
We offer 15 camping spots for tents, caravans and campervans smaller than 7 meter in a kid-free landscape park with a refreshing salt water pool. Book now, choose your own spot on arrival and sleep under the amazing starlit sky.
Included are the use of the pool (april – october), toilets and rain showers, facilities for washing up, a toilet dump and free WIFI at your spot. At terras Amsterdao you can meet your fellow travelers and treat yourself to an Alentejo wine, a cold lager or a locally brewed beer, while enjoying the fairytale scenery of the rough and rocky, greener Alto Alentejo.

We speak English, Portugese, Dutch and German. Depending on your approach, we’ll try in Spanish and French.

Within 9 km of our estate you’ll find several towns, villages and hamlets, including the two castle villages of Marvao, Castelo de Vide and the wonderful old railway station in the village of Beira. Hiking and Biking

Parque Natural da Serra de Sao Mamede is an ideal environment for a nice walk or bicycle ride through the astonishing landscape. How long should we stay?

A lot of our first time guests are in transit to or from the more obvious touristic destinations (Algarve and the busy coastal area) and book just for two nights (because that’s the minimum stay). But honestly, that is just not enough …
